We all know when buying a car, it is associated with many worries, specially when it comes to selling it. However, when leasing a Renault, these worries are gone and you're not tied down to one car model for years and years.

Clio from Renault

When the personal lease runs out for the Renault, you don't have to sell your car, you just hand the car lease back. About a month before the lease runs out on your Renault you can either arrange to lease another similar car or something totally different to cater for your needs.

Renault Car Leasing Forum & Reviews

Long Term Car HireHi, I'd like a Clio or Astra Energy, I'll be doing around 12,000 miles per year. Can you recommend something?

Is this your only choice or would you consider other similar Astra is the price was right?

Other models I would consider are the Ford Fiesta Titanium 1.6 diesel and Renault Clio Dynamique 1.5 diesel.

The Fiesta and Clio work out at a good deal if you picked petrol engines. For diesel there is the Focus and Astra. any interest?

I must say I am very disappointed with the service, all I seem to have got is a quote for a Clio with a petrol engine, nothing like I asked for. I asked for quotes on new cars or ex demo. Is this all you can offer?

Of course we can offer you more than this. Did you mention this to my colleague? Creating firm quotes is a timely process and most people once they get their first quote then they have full contact details of the suitable person to negotiate a good deal with. If the Clio is not of any interest all you got to do is phone and or email the person and ask what else there is. As it is a holiday weekend, I'm afraid the offices are closed until Tuesday.

I did presume rightly or wrongly that you would get me something close to what I asked for otherwise what is the point of your web site. One quote for a car that is a lot older than asked for and not even the right model. What happened to the Astra diesel, or the Fiesta. It seems to me that you took no notice of what I filled in. It is just pot luck?

Not at all pot luck. I looked at your original email and all it said you wanted an Astra Energy. I emailed you to say that this model was not in stock but there were other Astra's with diesel engines in stock. Then I emailed you and asked you what other cars did you like. Then you emailed and said the Fiesta and the Clio. So I resent your quote request for the Clio. (The systems only generates one quote at a time per car) You got contacted with a really cheap deal for a Clio. However, it seems you don't like the Clio and you want something better and spend more money too.

Sorry, I guess you are right, you did say that the Fiesta and Clio were better priced if they were with petrol engines. And I guess the Astra is better with a diesel engine?

All you got to do is email or phone my colleague and say that you don't like the Clio and you prefer an Astra with a diesel engine. Obviously as it is a holiday weekend the offices are closed and you will have to wait until Tuesday.

That is fine, I can wait. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Just that I'm new to this and didn't know what to do.

Just to remind you, Time4leasing is a car leasing broker. We find the best deals from around the country and then advertise them. Something like Gocompare or Confused.com for car insurance. They don't sell insurance do they? They find you the best deal from the best companies. Something that we do but for car leasing.

Hi I'm looking to lease an Automatic car for two years. It must be Automatic !

What car or cars did you have in mind?

Maybe a Honda Jazz 1.4 Automatic Hyundai 1.4 i20 Automatic Golf 1.4 Automatic. What will the residual value be of the above cars if I want to return it after the 24 months?

Sorry but none of these cars are available as automatics and other than the Golf the residual value for those cars is poor.

Oh, can you recommend me some automatics that hold their value?

The automatics that are on offer and at a good price are the Corsa, Focus, Astra and Insignia and all hold their residual value the most. Any of these cars of any interest?

I would appreciate a quote on the cars that you have mentioned. The cars are not familiar with me but I shall do some research.

You will be contacted by my partner who will help you pick the right car and deal for your needs.

I am currently driving a Ford Fiesta so I would like a quote on a Focus as well if possible. I do like a Ford. Thanks for being so quick in your responses.

The Focus is best if it going to be an automatic. When my partner contacts you, you will have to call or email back and change the car from the Corsa I put you down for a Ford Focus. There are some pretty good deals on offer. Your welcomed.

Hi, I work for the Nhs as a mental health nurse and I would like to know is insurance and tax included in the basic price?

Sorry at that low price, no it does not include insurance. You will have to source your own insurance. It does include road tax for the first year. However even so the prices are far cheaper than anywhere else. Would you like a quote?

Thank you. Just someone who I work with mentioned u get your insurance included. Are there any other deals that do include it? Yes also could you give me a quote for Clio 1.2 please?

If you mean GAP Insurance, yes we do offer it and it costs about £4 per month and it covers the car against fire, theft and if the car is totally written off from an accident. However, this insurance does not cover you for the basics which you will have to get extra like when you own any car. I will resubmit your request for a Clio 1.2 and then you will be contacted by my partner who will help you further. Hope this is ok with you?

Hi, I am looking for a car to be with me ASAP, I have seen the Astra on your site here and like the look of the car and deal. Though, I would also be interested in a VW Polo, Renault Clio (new shape only) or any other car in that bracket, for 36/48 months. I had an agreement set up with another company but they messed me about with delivery and the car turned out to be not what was actually advertised, so I am in a little bit of a rush now. I hope you can assist :)

Just to clarify, we would only send you a firm quote for an actually car that is physically in stock. You will be provided with DVLA's registration number plate so you can check the exact model, year, etc. The guys are working to get in touch with you very soon.

Hi, I am an admin for the NHS and was looking to lease a Renault Clio, my miles per year are around 5,000 is it possible for two people to be insured on the car? is there an age restriction ? also interested in quotes for: fiat 500 ford focus Honda CR-Z Coupe

With the cars that we lease, we allow a second or even a third named driver to be insured and drive the car. Your wife and son might like to drive the car too. No we don't have an age restriction but that person must have a valid and full UK driving license. At the end of the day as you will the be name driver, you are responsible for the car and its upkeep.

Good Morning I'm looking to get a new family car on finance I have I have just been declined by Lings cars due to a late payment a few years ago on my credit report for £17 The car we was looking for on a 3 year contract was the new Renault Captur Dynamic Media DCI 90 or something very similar My credit rating is 822 'fair' on Experian and I earn good money, no CCJ's ro anything like that.. do you think you would be able to help?? Regards

Good morning. Of course we can help you. If you have past bad credit, even if it was for a few pounds, as you can see that can effect your credit score. However, we can assist you as we are more flexible than companies like Lings cars. The cars you can lease and have more of a chance to be accepted via our funders is cars from the ex demo list. Please pick a car and email me as soon as you can and I will get you a quote.

Is it possible to lease a car for 1 year with the view to renewing after the year is up. My annual mileage is around about 7k miles per year, probably less. I'll mainly be using this car for social and commuting purposes.

Yes you can lease a car for one year (go to our sister website called www.hireinuk.com) but the monthly payments are much higher.

I want to lease a car, my Trust is not included in any scheme, I would like to use the car for regular work travel and occasional free time use. I would like to insure two drivers in the insurance policy, we are 25 and 28 years old. My other car choices would be Volswagen Golf, seat leon, or vauxhall 207 or 208. 24 or 36 months, depending on what the conditions are. I'm not a 100% sure of what the conditions are, could you explain them to me? Thank you.

As mentioned before, your NHS trust does not have to be in a scheme to lease a car via us. Everyone is considered with us, even if you have bad or poor credit history.

Hello I am moving to the UK from overseas and would like to get a car. However, since I do not have credit history in the UK, what are my options? I don't have a problem with making a sizeable downpayment (£1500-£2000) for an Audi TT or a car of similar class. Is there anyway you provide financing or I'd be able to get financing under these circumstances? Thanks

Ideally you need to provide me with some extra info; What are you going to be doing once you are in the UK? Are you employed or work for yourself? Have you a permanent UK address? Have you got UK bills and UK bank account in your name? How about a UK credit card and driving license?

Hi Maria, thanks for the response. I have provided answers to your questions as follows: I will be working in the UK and working for myself and will have a permanent address and will be opening an account using my permanent address and don't have a credit card yet. My driving license is EU driver's license (I assume as should be the norm, this is treated as a UK license)?

Based on your replies, I'm afraid there is no hope for a car lease or finance. You have to be in the UK for at least 3 years. It doesn't matter if you live abroad but you must show that you live in the UK and paying your bills and taxes. I suggest you save some money and buy a second hand car or hire a car until you are able to lease. You might like to see our partners and their deals at www.hireinuk.com

I thought you understood my initial email clearly stating I 'will' be re-locating to the UK. It is impossible at present to give you definite answers to the questions posed. If I did, then I'd be lying outright and that's deception. What I was expecting as a response from you was that it would be better to contact you once I've arrived and settled in to my new home and can provide all the required documents as you've suggested (though not directly). Having said that, I wish you would have not bothered to waste both our times by asking questions in the first place but rather to be more forthcoming by letting me know you're unable to give a clear assessment due to me not being physically present in the UK.

Sorry, I did not understand everything in your initial message and wanted to explore if there were any possibilities to find you a solution. That is why I asked you those straight forward questions. As I said, you are best to hire a car for now via our sister website which offers long term car rentals. This will help build your credit history too.

Many thanks for the advice.

Hello, I'm a railway engineer and I'm interested on leasing a car but not sure how it all works. Can you help me please?

Leasing a car is similar to finance but the difference is that you pay for part of the car, not the whole car. This makes the monthly payments far less than buying a one. When you lease, you pay for the depreciation of the car. If the car cost £20,000 and it was worth £8,000 in 4 years time then you only pay for the £12,000 as you will have £8,000 to play with at the end the lease if you decide to buy the car or you can just give it back and walk away. We would deal with selling the car to get that difference back. Tried to keep it simple. Did this make sense? Would you like to lease the Megane? But not the one you picked as that one is listed but not available at the moment. However, there is an ex demo Megane which works out far cheaper.

I want to lease a car for my own use and I do t want to pay any more the £160 a month but I want a diesel car. I like the Megan's if I can get one like the one I picked and a diesel I will be happy. I have not got good credit at all am I still able to get a car

If you want a diesel, if it is for economy it only works out cheaper if you do 15,000 miles or more per year. Otherwise it is more economic to have a petrol. Unless you want a diesel for the torque? £160 will not get you a car that is a diesel and with bad credit history. Only if you were to pay a bigger deposit to reduce the monthly payments.

My budget is up to £130 pounds a month, the lower the better, I am a council tenant, I'm on benefits and do have bad credit history. I have 3 children so don't want a car that is not too small, I've never had a car and I've read hire purchase is a good option as the car is not yours until you've paid in full, if this doesn't work out its fine I could really do with some advice.

I'm afraid your budget of £130 a month is not going to get you a decent vehicle. When a customer has bad credit history the prices increase a bit because within the payments you have to pay to keep the car, then the car is yours. If you can raise your budget to £155 a month, you can have a VW Polo or if you cannot raise it then you can have a 4 year old used VW Fox instead and have some money to spare.

Thank you for your email and answers to my questions. Can you please give me a quote for Renault Megane? Can you also give me more information on different contracts (hire purchase, personal lease etcÖ)? Also, will you be able to give me a quote on maintenance package and let me know what will be included in it? I'm looking forward to hearing from you. It would be nice to have some figures to consider. The prices on your website are very attractive but when one starts adding all the additional costsÖ they do pile up. Anyway, I hope to get an email from you soon.

Based on your requirements, you should be contacted by one of the advisers from the Motor Group. It could be via email, phone or text. You should have been contacted? can you confirm this please?

I have just spoken with the Motor Group representative and she has explained to me that the deal advertised on your website is different.

What do you mean different?

It is advertised that the car is nearly new and that it has full warranty and free road tax. The lady explained that the car is 2009 reg and that the mileage is in 50-60k range which means that there won't be practically any warranty unless I buy it. She was able to confirm that they will give 6 months of Road Tax. So, is there really a car that has these specs and price? If not, I will have to keep searching for a better deal. Thank you very much.

Of course prices differ, the prices are guide prices and always from. On every single price it will state that the price is a guide price and depends on the exact available deal. On the time4leasing website the definition of "nearly new" means used but in good condition. Other companies call their used cars "new2you". Example, to pay for a Ford Mondeo 2009 plate £130.79 (inclusive of vat) is a pretty good deal. If you want a newer Mondeo then the price will raise to approx £215 a month and even higher if the car is totally brand new. I'm afraid some marketing messages are not clear about what you are going to really get and that is why we urge customers to ask for a firm quote so you know exactly what you are going to get in the price. If warranty is something on top of your list, I believe I recommended the Insignia where you get lifetime warranty or 100,000 miles or which ever comes first. Even if the car is used, new, nearly new what ever it is called. I'm afraid you cannot have everything, not pay for something that you really want. We are here is you need to revisit the offers that we have available.

Thank you for clarifying that. I would like to lease the Insignia but it is a little bit out of my reach. I would consider the ex demo or a slightly used Insignia but still not within my budget. Have you something else you can offer me?

There is a really good deal for the Renault Megane, 1.9 Diesel engine, comes with Sat Nav and other goodies and the price is £143.74 per month (personal hire) that includes the vat. This car is 2 years old. If you want it brand new out the box then the price will rise to £251 a month. That is a saving of over £5,000 !!

Yes, but you have a new Megane for just £10 more a month. Why is that?

That is not the same car. That Megane comes with a 1.6 petrol engine. It is not a 1.9 diesel engine. To be honest for such a large family sized car it will need a 1.9 engine to have a good pull and feel on the road. With the 1.6 engine it is pretty limp.

Many thanks for pointing that out !!
