My profession is a lawyer for a limited liability partnership and was wondering if you offer car leasing to people with bad credit on their file?
Yes we do car leasing for bad credit history customers. If your history is really bad we look into an arrangement that is called hire purchase. That is where you pay the monthly fees but you actually pay off the car as well and the car becomes yours at the end of the arrangement. You will not have to pay a balloon payment like in car leasing.
I am looking for a mini cooper to lease. I have bad credit but not to my fault, as my former child minder ordered catalogue goods in my name whilst I was at work. I never knew anything about it until I tried to buy a new car this year. Police and credit file companies will not assist and re move the offending records from my file. I finished paying a £15,000 personal loan with Halifax in March 13 and have a good salary. Hope you can assist.
Don't get me wrong but it is your fault because you left your credit card details lying around. This still makes you liable and of all people you are a lawyer, you should know better? Saying that we will have to treat you as if you had bad credit regardless if it was your fault or not and we can help.
Thank you, can I have a quote on the mini cooper?
I'm afraid the Mini is not an option for people with bad credit. Cars that you might be able to have are KA, Fiesta, Corsa, Hyundai i10, Polo, Aygo, Spark and some other ones within those prices.
I work for a company as a pricing analyst, I have excellent credit history, I would like to lease a small and safe city car for no more than 24 months. My miles per year are going to be around 12000 and I would like to spend no more than £120 inc VAT per month if possible. My first choice would be Peugeot 208, but I know it is a bit expensive. Please advise with regards relevant offers. Thanks Sofia
There are a couple of cars that come to mind, I will send you a quote, please check your email.
I'm a corporate account manager for virgin media business looking for a BMW 3 series, my miles per year are 15,000. Lease period quote for 2, 3, 4 or 5 years, Second choice car is BMW 520 Efficiency Dynamics. My credit history I think is poor.
I will track you for a BMW 3 series quote and an advisor will contact you.
According to your website your only have a 1 series in stock for bad credit leasing! Your website indicated that the 320 is in stock an available on bad credit also. Is your website accurate then or do you just refer interested people to other companies? Can you guarantee stock availability like your website states?
BMW 3 series are in stock, however, don't you think you are jumping the gun? In your original quote request you did not state that you have bad credit history. You stated it was poor. There is a bid difference here. At this state we do not credit check, so we have to go by what you stated. I'm afraid if your credit history is bad then no one said you cannot have a BMW 3 or 5 series but the price will be prohibitive because the funder will charge a higher interest rate.
If your credit history is really bad then I would not recommend a BMW any series because they depreciate so much and you will have to pay for it via the Hire Purchase agreement. I would recommend something in the lines of an Insignia, Megane or Mondeo.
It really is down to your credit history and how much interest the funder is going to charge.
Is this any clearer or do you need further information?
Ok, sorry about that, I didn't mean to be rude. I had a look again on the lease info page and it says you can have a BMW 3 if you have bad credit history.
Yes you can have a BMW 3 if you have bad credit history but you cannot lease or hire it, you have to Hire Purchase the car which means you have to pay to keep the car which makes the monthly payments higher and in many cases prohibitive. It is up to you really if you want to pay for such a car.
Seriously, apologies!! I am unsure if it is classed as bad or poor. I am using the terminology on the website. As I didn't see a poor option.
Maybe you are right, I have spoken to your funders in the past though and they don't always have in stock what you enquired about which is why I thought I would check.
I am currently leasing an Audi at the moment, but this ends at the end Jan so wanted to check other options.
Thanks for your email and advice.
I'm looking for a Mazda 6, please can you base this on 5000. If this deal is not available please let me know ASAP as need to sort out quickly
I have emailed probably 6 or more times now and said to you it is not available.
Can you give me the details of the Mazda 6 deals that do exist?
I believe I have told you already that there are NO offers on any Mazda 6. None. if our partners can get you one as an ex demo lease then fine but we DO NOT have any available at the moment and there are no indications if there will be any available.
Is this understood please?
I thought you meant the particular one I was enquiring wasn't available. At no point did you say all 15 deals you have on your website aren't available. So basically the 15 Mazda 6 cars listed all that say hire now don't exist. Ok I do understand . I won't bother you anymore. Maybe if cars aren't available they should be removed from the website until they are???
Like other websites we list various cars from the manufacturers. Is a good deal comes along then we highlight it. If there were some good deals for the Mazda don't you think we would be telling you this?
I'm pretty new at this with websites. Normally go to showrooms but looks like the internet is here to stay. OK, I will take your offer for the Insignia as it is the best price I've found anyway.
I am looking for nil deposit or small deposit leasing,
PCP or HP options for range rover sport HSE. Term of 4 or 5 years. I have a company vehicle also so mileage would be low. I would also consider other range rover sport options
Based on your requirements, an advisor from the Motor Group team will make contact with you and send you a quote proposal.
I emailed you regarding the information and have not had a reply ... I definitely have excellent credit as I checked and so can you confirm if the below company hippo would still be best. I also forgot to mention I have a car which could be part exchanged Audi A5 cabriolet
Yes our partners would be best and they also do part exchange. Has one of the advisors contacted you?
We are looking for a 7 seat vehicle like a Zafira as we are childminders so any 7 seat or above vehicle would be considered. We don't mind a ex demo vehicle we use the vehicle for short runs mostly around 8000 miles per year. £0 or low as possible deposit would be good a nd a monthly payment of approx £150 would be considered, and if maintenance packages are available we would be interested.
Based on your requirements, an advisor from the motor group team will make contact with you and send you a quote proposal.
We did look at the Zafira on your website at £139 per month would this be an option?
The Zafira at £139 is plus vat so it makes it
£500 deposit and £167.87 per month. However, it is not available and the offer
I'm afraid expired. A Zafira 7 seater costs £274 per month depending on the model. Maybe the guys can get you an ex demo one for less but you need to wait to speak to an advisor.
That is why I suggested the Renault Grand Scenic at £199 inclusive of vat it works out far cheaper.
Does this make sense now?
Now I am confused, all zafiras are 7 seaters and your website has lots of zafiras at £139 and £149 no where near £270 as my Email said we don't mind a small deposit but can't stretch much over £150
Sent from my HTC
All prices are plus vat. The £139 is without the vat, with vat the price is £167.87 - is this understood?
Because a vehicle is listed it does not mean it is in stock. Like other websites we list the car models of each manufacturer. However we try to list the best deals but deals come and go.
How do I pick a car that is in stock?
The deals that are available have a Green Logo next to them stating IN STOCK. - is this understood?
if you cannot see the Green IN STOCK logos then please scroll down the page. Saying that if you are using a HTC then not sure what you are seeing? The website is best viewed on a PC computer.
The Zafira that is brand new "out the box" is at £274.00 per month with a £812 deposit.
The Zafira that is in stock is an ex demo deal and the price is £227.92 with a £595 deposit.
The Zafira that is in stock is an ex demo deal and if you DO NOT want to pay a deposit then the price is £244.80 per month.
Now I understand, i'm really sorry.
Well, that is why I suggested the Renault Grand Scenic 7 seater because the price is £199 and you get far more for your money.
I have completed one of your online quote proposals and would like to discuss with someone the opportunity of having a lease car.
My details have been forwarded to your finance partners and although I have received one quote from them, there has been no response to my emails and voicemails. I have just managed to contact someone via phone who gave me your email address.
I am looking to lease a 5 door Ford Fiesta with air con. On your website against a nearly new Fiesta, it says it includes warranty. Please can I ask you to provide me with a quote for the above vehicle as opposed to your partners.
Many thanks and kind regards
I'm not sure what you mean about warranty? All
our cars come with manufacturer warranty including the cars that we would offer
you. If you mean maintenance that is extra and in most cases it cost far less to
make your own arrangements with your local garage. The Fiesta that is on offer
is £495 deposit + vat and £109.99 plus vat per month making it approx £595
deposit and £131.99 per month. There is however a couple of more Fiesta models
that cost more as it depends on the exact specification. Also, if you want the
car delivered to you then a delivery charge will have to be paid. All this of
course we assume you have good credit history because if it is bad the price are
Sorry I didn't understand what warranty meant.
I have asked the sales staff if they are reverting customers back to customer services and they said the following. Hi thanks for your email, here’s the explanation.
Customer said the time 4 leasing website says maintenance and road tax included for the duration on the used fiesta.
I know we don’t include that so I thought it was on another deal you have with someone else so reverted her back to take that up with you.
I explained the benefits of our ex demo but she insisted she wanted a new car with maintenance (service and tyres) and tax for the duration.
I have therefore explained I will obtain a quote for this form Ford Direct. Not sure where she is getting her ‘none contact’ from as you can clearly see I’ve left her messages and text her twice.
I sometimes think some people are just out for a good old winge. All the same I’ll do my upmost to deal her.
I'm very sorry to have caused you problems. I will take your offer for new and pay the extra for maintenance.
No company offers maintenance included. It is always extra. However, we recommend you do the maintenance yourself at your local garage when the time comes. It cost far cheaper.
Thank you for the advise.
Hi, I'd like to lease a car, my miles per year are less than 5000, 3 year lease, Diesel, Manual and I do not have a driving licence.
If you don't mind me asking you, if you do not have a driving licence, as you stated in your application, how and who is going to be driving the car?
My partner of 33 years and a concerning motorist who passed his test in 1968 is my driver!!!. He has a full no claims bonus.
I'm not concerned about when he passed his test and how he drives, but to lease a car you need to have a driving licence if you have poor credit history or you actually can lease a car if you have no driving licence and you have excellent credit history.
He looks after our cars impeccably ( he had his own car valeting business) and we never have had a problem finding a new home for our passed cars! He is ... and was born ... I hope this explains everything.
I do believe with car leasing the person leasing the car has to be the one with the driving licence if they have poor credit history. in this case he would need to apply. I do know his name but would require all the other details to be able to produce a firm quote.
In the past I have owned our cars but they have always been in my partners name. I am the principal "Bread Winner", so that is why I finance the cars and assumed the same when leasing as my partners income would not stretch to car leasing, that is why I am enquiring. For your information, we own a van as well as the car and we would use that as transport while we sell the car for around £4000 and this would be used as a initial payment on the lease/hire.
With car leasing the person leasing the car has to have a driving licence. However, we do offer car finance too and in this case you can finance any of the cars you see on the time4leasing website and then allow someone else to drive it as long as it is insured. Would this work for you?
Surely a couple can lease hire a car without both of them being license holders and if the money comes from the one without the license what matter as long as the driver is named. This smacks of discrimination and for this reason, we will not be pursuing any further business with your company. What if a married couple want to lease hire a car and the husband doesn't drive but the cheques or direct debit is in his name, what then? Do you turn the trade down? Good day.
With all respect you stated that you are not a married couple but partners living together. I'm afraid that is not the same and I can only go by with what you originally stated. I said that to lease a car the person leasing the car has to have a driving licence if they have poor credit history or do not need to have a driving licence if they have excellent credit history. This is dictated by the financial conduct rules. With poor credit history the person leasing the car has to be the registered keeper and the person insuring the car.
There is an agreement where husband and wife can do a joint application for car leasing. However, are you legally married?
I did not say that we are turning your business down. We have other solutions like car finance where one person can take the finance and the other person drives the car.
Not sure where we go from here.
So in other words, (Ms E) who has been my "Common Law" wife for 33 years is unable to lease a car for her "family unit" because she hasn't a licence. I know exactly where we are going from here ! Nowhere!
I think you have misunderstood what I have written to you. Are you reading things out of context?
I would appreciate it if you did not reply. I have just found a company who will entertain us with no concerns that we are a couple living together for 33 years (longer than some couples are married) and we are proceeding with that company! You win some you lose some !!!
I am very happy you found a company to cater your needs, but you are not reading or listening to what I am saying. We can lease a car to a person who has no driving licence as long as they have good or excellent credit history.
Hi, my friend and I are looking on your site again and are somewhat confused. Just filled the quote out but it's saying credit companies will get back to us. We don't need credit wanted to do what you suggested before but there are that many options it's confusing as I don't understand what purchase hire is and all that. Sorry if I'm being blonde.
Ps I meant to nominate you for ice bucket challenge and forgot
Hi, when you say filled in a form, who did and in what name? If you received a confirmation email, the car will come from a car dealer and the finance side of the lease will come from one of our 50 lenders, that is how it works, if you want a really good price. We have no loyalty to any dealer or any lender. We try and put it all to together for you and try and make it simple. Can you tell me the name that you used to apply?
Oh my dad applied so his name is Thomas, he is the one sorting it for me. My friend then is going to apply tomorrow but she has poor credit history. My dad does not and didn't want to borrow any money he was going to help me out and pay it monthly for me while I'm in between jobs again (the world of sales)
But I suggested your site as you always advertise it so that's why I trust it more as we have had no luck so far at car auctions and on auto trader.
I thought that might be the case. Your dad has been provisionally accepted by one of our affiliates. They are car leasing brokers and are one of our best partners. Good service, good cars and above all good prices. We also help people with bad credit history as long as they are not bankrupt and or have serious and unsatisfied defaults. If you need any more help let me know.
Oh no my friend has a house and not bankrupt just paid bills late. Ok so what's the situation with my dads quote they contact and explain all as we are wondering what the clause is as so reasonable. I know it's so many miles allowed but do we pay anymore after the agreed term or is it just the monthly agreed amount ? Thanks for your advice I'm getting excited now wish we just did this from day one.
We are not allowed to discuss any customer's financial matters like this as we are regulated by the FCA and will get into trouble. Your dad has been assigned an advisor and they should discuss and or email each other tomorrow. He can say to the advisor (account manager) that you can speak in his behalf but when it comes to the paper work and signing then your dad will have to get involved again. I hope this is OK with you?
Yes he will be involved and speak it's just his money so he will want to be sure all above board and no extras. Thanks anyway it's appreciated he will speak with them and see what it's all about and my friend can sort herself that's her business.
Hi, a bit of advice. As your dad has picked a used car lease, do not go for a Fiat Punto, they are renowned to breaking down. There are much better cars than that. Just saying.
Is used car a an ex demo ? I was looking at the Corsa myself.
Not always, the used cars are normally from a previous lease. Normally 1 owner. They all come with a warranty and guaranteed 100% for your peace of mind. Corsa is a good choice, as they come with lifetime warranty or 100,000 miles which ever comes first.
Ok are the used ones fairly new
Hi, sorry just saw this message, yes our used car offers are nearly new cars. I believe your dad was sent a proposal for a 2013 plate Corsa, it is like brand new.
We have not had anything since last week as my dad went to Ireland for an urgent personal matter, so could not sign any papers in time. Was 2011 plate we were told and now simon we were dealing with is not there so someone called peter is supposed to send me info on options but I've not heard off him to day
Sorry to hear that. Mondays are extremely busy. Maybe need to telephone again to get to speak to him. I saw an offer for a 2013 plate one but guess if offering a 2011 that would work out cheaper if you're looking to spend as little as possible. If you run in any probs do let me know.
Hi, I'm a director and run my own company, I do have poor credit history and was looking for approx 5,000 miles per year, must be small car automatic with no down payment my budget is £65-£70 per month, can you help?
I'm afraid there is no such thing as a small
decent automatic car for just £70 a month. Also because you have bad credit
history tre talking about and what are the terms please.
I will track you for a Corsa Automatic, the price is for good credit but it is not too dissimilar for bad credit if you lease the car over 60 payments. To get the payments lower the only other way is to lease a much older car, probably 3 to 4 years old, though still in good condition.
The age of the car is not a big deal as long as it is as you say in good condition other than that then I have no issue with older model.
Hi, I'm a driving instructor so just wanted to know can i get the same deal on the audi a3? and would it be possible to get dual controls in?
Yes we do offer driving instructors cars with dual controls. We just add them to the price. The cars that are suitable are the ex demo or nearly new. I will send you a quote, please check your email.
Hi, I'd like a Ford Focus Diesel to lease for 1 month - Second choice car is any in that class
I'm afraid you cannot lease a car for just 1 month. The minimum is 3 months and still very
I never heard back from anyone on this!
Does that mean I don’t qualify on the information provided?
Would be really appreciated if someone would just get back to me and confirm that.
I'm afraid to
lease this car for 3 months that would probably cost £1600 deposit and then £480 a month. If you want to achieve this exceptional low price of £123.60 a month you will need to
lease this car for at least 4 years.
If you would like to hire a car for 1 month and at a cheaper price you may like to check out these companies listed on
the 1 or 3 months car hire pages.
That is actually exactly what I thought when my partner showed me the time4leasing website and I had to prove my point.
But as we are talking about proving a point, my partner was really confused about your website because she continuously was told that she was able to hire the said Ford Focus for 1 month and when she tried to click through to that offer she was redirected to a leasing possibility.
Of course there is a huge difference between “hire” and “Leasing” as we both know.
She was also shown possibilities to hire a car for prices starting at £8.00 an hour. When she clicked through to these offers, they are not possible! Not to mention that the customer is constantly told they need pay no deposit.
So all in all, when she asked me to take a look at the site to help her out, I told her that the website is nothing more than a “Sticky Fly Paper”.
She wanted to hire a car for one month and also found a car that was offered under that criteria however, when she clicked through to check the deal, it was a leasing contract she was directed too.
You tell me that the car she wanted to hire would cost £480 a month with a probable deposit of £1600!
I constantly hire cars from rent a car companies and if I had to pay a deposit, it would be no more that £250.
Thanks all the same for everything, she has now found another car hire via your
website recommended links with clear and precise information on how much she has to pay and for what.
I'm glad to
hear this. Long term
hire is something we do, but the minimum would be
12 months hire,
if you want to get a really good car lease deal.
