Why finance a BMW 2 Convertible?
 There’s a choice of petrol and diesel engines, but we’d be tempted by one of the lesser diesels – the 218d or the 220d – since they're more economical and offer lower company car bills than the rest of the range, while still offering decent performance.
There are four trim levels – SE, Sport, Modern and M Sport – but the models with real appeal are at opposite ends of the range. Entry-level SE trim brings enough standard kit to make it a worthy, good-value choice, while M Sport costs more but brings suspension changes, bigger wheels and Alcantara upholstery.
The M235i, meanwhile, almost stands outside of the normal 2 Series Coupe range. It's blazingly fast, but its price is uncomfortably close to the likes of the Porsche Cayman, which is even better to drive.
